International student VDC competition
for teams of architects and engineers

The main goal of the competition to spread the knowledge and practical skills in VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) for the new generation of professionals in construction industry.

There is a huge gap between academic knowledge and industry demand. We bridging this gap by creating a close to reality conditions where participants solve real-world problems using modern technologies.

In this way the future specialist will have experience that will bring changes in the construction industry.

EXPERIENCE THAT PRECEDES A CAREER

the competition is based on the following principles:

Educating the local AEC industry with modern information technology

Within the competition teams will be placed in conditions, closed to real construction project.

This includes both the commitment of the general technical task and local requests from the client during the work.

Multidisciplinarity

Participants will be able to prove themself on the path from concept development to presentation for the client. The main emphasis is on VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) processes, which include crosssystem coordination, 4D logistics, energy efficiency and calculations

Teamwork

During the competition, students learn to communicate and collaborate with other participants and team-members.

How it was?

In 2019, the first competition was held among students of leading technical universities of Ukraine.

In 2020, the competition received international status and took participants from Germany and Poland.
